The Bakehouse

Alfa Bakehouse, situated in the heart of the wonderful and vibrant Yarraville village, began trading in 1998 and its proud founders are brothers Chris and George Xanthis. Their father Jim, a Pastry Chef of 35 years, had a cake shop down the street and has passed on his knowledge, expertise and experience to his sons who also aim to ensure quality food and service. Alfa provides delicious pastries both savoury and sweet, home-made pies, sausage rolls and of course our spinach and cheese filos which are the talk of the town. We also offer a variety of gourmet breads, continental cakes and refreshments, plus a fully stocked sandwich bar catering to your every need.
